How would you explain your business model?
Bornage currently generates no revenue. Our priority is to grow our community while continuously improving the product and the value we provide to EV drivers. Once we reach sufficient scale, we will introduce premium services such as vehicle exchanges, subscriptions offering reduced charging prices across partner networks, and exclusive offers from nearby businesses while drivers charge.
What makes your idea unique compared to your competitors?
There is no single "best charger". There is only the best charger for you, right now. In seconds, Ideal Charger combines the driver's vehicle, location and immediate need with proximity, availability, available connectors, charging speed and price to recommend the most relevant stations. It also identifies when meaningful savings are possible nearby, so drivers can pay less without being sent on an unrealistic detour.
Where do you see your company in the next 5 years?
Our ambition is to make Bornage a leading EV charging app in Europe and deliver the best possible experience to every EV driver, whether they drive a 2010 EV or a 2030 model. Our EV-native navigation engine will learn from each driver's driving and energy consumption to suggest the most efficient route, charging strategy and even driving adjustments along the way. By leveraging the power of roaming, we want to move towards a universal Plug & Charge experience: find the right charger, plug in, charge and pay seamlessly through Bornage, regardless of the vehicle or charging network. And we want to build the community EV drivers are still missing, where they can share experiences, help each other, report issues, share charging cables and get highly personalised support.
