How would you explain your business model?

B2B SaaS. CPOs, retailers and investors subscribe to the SurplusMap platform for three jobs across the network lifecycle: Compete (benchmark any charger against competitors), Upgrade (spot under- and over-capacity sites from hourly occupancy) and Build (forecast annual kWh for greenfield sites from nearby charging behavior). On top of subscriptions we deliver managed site-intelligence reports for the specific investment cases on a customer's desk. And we deliver machine-to-machine: SurplusMap ships now as an MCP server, so customers' AI assistants and agents can query charger-level utilization, benchmark stations and run full site analyses directly inside their own workflows.

What makes your idea unique compared to your competitors?

Vertically-integrated players like Tesla see every charging session on their own network - everyone else operates blind. SurplusMap gives that visibility to the whole market: independent, charger-level utilization data across all operators, built without access to anyone's internal systems and validated at 97% accuracy against real session data. Nobody else offers independent, all-network utilization intelligence at this granularity.

Where do you see your company in the next 5 years?

Become the standard market-intelligence layer for EV charging investment in Europe: full coverage of every public charger on the continent, with demand forecasting trusted by lenders and boards as the reference for site decisions. Beyond charging, become the forecasting conduit between transport electrification and the energy system - turning charger-level behavior into energy-demand forecasts for grid operators and energy companies. And as analysis shifts to AI, make SurplusMap the data layer AI companies plug into: our intelligence already runs as an MCP server today, and in five years we want every AI-driven infrastructure analysis in eMobility - by CPOs, energy companies, or the AI platforms themselves - running on SurplusMap data.
