How would you explain your business model?
Prelect operates as a SaaS company. Customers pay for access to our software platform, which is used to manage and optimize electrified sites and energy assets over time. Our revenue model is primarily based on recurring software subscriptions, typically linked to the number of sites, connected assets, installed capacity, or the complexity of the optimization needed. This gives customers a scalable model where the value grows as more infrastructure is connected to the platform. In addition to the core SaaS model, Prelect can generate revenue through project onboarding, integrations, advanced analytics, flexibility services, and commercial partnerships with infrastructure owners, energy companies, charge point operators, installers, and technology providers. The model is designed for scale. Once the platform is connected to a site, Prelect can continuously create value through automated optimization, lower energy costs, avoided grid upgrades, better utilization of assets, and participation in flexibility markets.
What makes your idea unique compared to your competitors?
Prelect combines deep electrification experience from Eviny, Norway's strong position in renewable energy, and a team with advanced AI and software expertise to make electrified infrastructure perform better than fossil-based alternatives. The unique idea is not simply to monitor energy assets, but to make them work together intelligently. Most electrification projects still struggle with fragmented systems, limited grid capacity, high peak loads, and manual operation. Prelect solves this by creating one intelligent control layer that understands the site, predicts demand, optimizes assets, and makes better decisions automatically. This gives Prelect a strong position in one of the most important shifts in the energy market: the move from building more infrastructure to using existing infrastructure much smarter. By turning complex electrification sites into flexible, optimized energy systems, Prelect helps accelerate the green transition in a way that is both commercially attractive and technically scalable.
Where do you see your company in the next 5 years?
In the next five years, Prelect aims to become a leading European platform for intelligent energy management and flexibility across electrified infrastructure. We see a market where grid capacity will become one of the biggest barriers to electrification. More companies will need to charge vehicles, electrify operations, install batteries, use solar power, and manage energy demand, but they will not always be able to wait for expensive and time-consuming grid upgrades. Prelect is built for that reality. Our goal is to help customers unlock more value from the infrastructure they already have, while making new electrification projects easier to build, operate, and scale. We expect to grow through commercial partnerships, larger multi-site customers, and international projects where flexible energy management becomes critical. Long term, Prelect will not only help companies reduce energy costs and avoid grid constraints, the platform will also help turn distributed energy assets into an active part of the energy system. This means that EV chargers, batteries, buildings, and other flexible loads can support the grid, create new revenue streams, and make renewable electrification more competitive across Europe.
