How would you explain your business model?

Network performance and operational efficiency are crucial parts of succeeding as a CPO. The potential upsides in utilising data to improve reliability, charging success rates, uptime and operational resources are huge, however the entry barrier and risk of doing it yourself are also big. At Lumina, our take is to enable any operator to leverage the incredible possibilities and inherent advantages of using machine learning to process data, without having to build, develop and train complex models and infrastructural systems yourself. Through only a simple API, our system digests data logs in real-time, processing them, using advanced algorithms to intelligently enrich the datasets, providing the operators with vastly improved insights, automatic fault handling, outlier detections and future fault predictions - all automated and in real-time.

What makes your idea unique compared to your competitors?

We are an operations-centric platform, meaning our solution is dedicated to the asset management and operations teams, that work hard to ensure stability for the EV drivers. Our solution embeds predictive ML, advanced data analytics, and automation directly into their daily workflows, allowing them to cut resolution times by up to 90%, detect “invisible” faults and deviations that account for the majority of downtime, and efficiently handle every fault in the best possible way, based on historic data. Unlike traditional monitoring tools, we forecast, detect, and resolve faults before they impact users—enabling faster, smarter charge point operations and proactive maintenance across all vendors.

Where do you see your company in the next 5 years?

In five years, we aim to play a critical role in the EV transition by helping operators deliver more reliable charging experiences. Our focus is on boosting charge success rates and utilisation through predictive, automated maintenance, ensuring chargers work when and where they’re needed. We hope to support the industry behind the scenes, making everyday EV charging more dependable at scale.
