Dustin Schell

Dustin is a staff engineer in the California Energy Commission’s (CEC) Fuels and Transportation Division. The CEC is California’s main agency for deploying electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Dustin is the CEC’s technical lead on electric vehicle charger reliability working with federal and international partners. He is the primary author of the CEC’s forthcoming regulation ‘Tracking and Improving Reliability of California’s Electric Vehicle Chargers’. Prior to coming to the CEC, Dustin worked at the California Air Resources Board developing and deploying systems to detect high emitting diesel vehicles operating on California roadways. Dustin holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and is a licensed professional engineer in California.
