Richard is the Product & Operations Director for Smart Charge – a dedicated EV charging business that gives drivers access to ultra-rapid EV charging across Sainsbury’s stores. An e-mobility specialist, he is focused on developing profitable business models that are technically reliable and delight customers. Richard manages the product and platform roadmap and ensures the daily operations and maintenance of all charging stations for Smart Charge at Sainsbury’s.

Prior to joining Sainsbury’s, Richard led the digital approach to charging for JLR’s Electric Vehicles and spent a decade in consulting across the EV charging industry for auto OEMs, energy retailers, innovative start-ups and fuels retailers.
