Patrick Roelke is CEO and Co-Founder of Amp Assist, an EV charging infrastructure company based in Munich, Germany. With over 20 years of IT experience, he specializes in EV charging protocols including OCPP 1.6/2.0.1, OCPI, and OICP, along with cloud computing and distributed systems.

Before founding Amp Assist in March 2025, Patrick served as Chief Technology Officer at Switch, where he led a 15-person engineering team and helped build one of the first OCPP 2.0.1 Certified CSMS systems. His EV industry experience includes senior roles at The Mobility House, where he co-authored an open source OCPP Python library, and Qwello, developing embedded software for AC chargers.
