Dr. Andreas Piepenbrink
Dr. Andreas Piepenbrink is CEO of HagerEnergy and Vice President Energy Management Solutions at :hager. He studied Electrical Engineering and holds a PhD in Control Engineering. His career includes 12 years of management experience in the automotive industry, spanning three years at Kostal Elektronik in manufacturing automation, five years at ZF Friedrichshafen as Head of Transmission Hydraulics, and four years at automotive supplier Karmann, where he served as Head of Electronics and Managing Director of the subsidiary Karmann Engineering. He then spent seven years at Dover Technologies Corporation as global Head of Electronics at Multitest Rosenheim, before joining E3/DC, which he founded in 2010 and which became HagerEnergy in 2018 as a subsidiary of :hager. Under his leadership, HagerEnergy has grown to 350 employees, around €200 million in sales across charging, storage, and metering, and 180,000 customers across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, and the Netherlands, with its home power stations offering a complete system solution for PV and storage that integrates AI360° energy management alongside AC and Bidi charging solutions for residential and semi-public use. Dr. Piepenbrink is widely regarded as one of today's prominent experts in stationary battery storage and sector coupling between homes and electric vehicles.
